Fore!!!

I absolutely love unique bachelorette party and shower ideas. Everyone enjoys a night out on the town with the girls, but it is always fun to mix it up a little bit. When I came across the idea of  a golf themed shower I absolutely had to share with my readers. Most I have seen are themed parties (which are absolutely adorable.) However, I think it would be super fun to take it a step forward and bring your best girls out for some time on the course. Now for those of you who are not savvy on the links- a driving range would be a great way to enjoy the golfing experience without sitting through 18 holes. Even mini golf could be a fun alternative (with minis in tote of course.) So why not get the ladies together, throw a few back, and shag some balls? For those of you in Atlanta  Legacy & Fox Creek  are located right outside the perimeter and offer instruction for groups and singles in addition to their driving ranges. Without further delay..here are some fun inspirations I have come across. Enjoy!

Wedding Spirit

My sweet boyfriend and I are die-hard Alabama fans. Since he is such a doll he ordered me one of these awesome spirit jerseys as a gift for football season.

As it turns out the Southern Shirt Co  actually makes a bridal collection which are super cute, and perfect for a bachelorette outing or even for the wedding day! These are a fun change-up instead of the monogrammed button ups. No, I would not recommend these if your girls are in the process of having their hair done, but for a group outing or fun picture session they would be adorable. They run $45 from SSC, however I believe they offer bulk ordering for large groups. You can also customize them accordingly. Just FYI they run a little big! Check out a few cute options below and be sure to check out their site.

Back in Action

To my wonderful, dedicated followers,

Recently I was notified that my blog (which has not been updated in close to a year) has been receiving an incredible amount of traffic. This came as a shock considering the lack of updates.  However, I find myself inspired and feel a triumphant return to the resource with new posts for all my beautiful bachelorettes is in order. Though I am an Atlanta-based gal; I plan on posting more about all the ins and outs of bachelorette parties as well as fresh ideas for my followers from all over. Please feel free to contact me at atlbacheloretteresource@gmail.com with suggestions, questions, or comments about anything related to the website, event planning, or general bachelorette shenanigans. I look forward to updating and hope to help make all of your bachelorette planning endeavors come true. Party on, ladies. Party on.

Life’s a Beach

I was recently enlisted by a close girlfriend to help plan a bachelorette beach bash for the upcoming spring. Though vastly unseasonal I figured it would be a good time to make note of some tips and inspirations during the early stages of planning.

As I always try to instill in the minds of fellow friends and planners do your best to encourage a commitment from all of those who are invited. It is immensely difficult to budget when you do not have everyone on board. Also inviting 25 guests on an out-of-town trip is not only a major pain to plan for, but makes it nearly impossible to keep tabs on that large of a guest list. I am a strong believer in keeping your bachelorette party down to a smaller, more manageable size. This way everyone can enjoy themselves and it makes it easier for those who are executing the planning. When booking an out-of-town venue, hotel, house, condo- whatever it may be knowing the approximate number of attendees makes it that much simpler to budget, book, and follow through with all the little details.

Since I am an Atlanta girl it is a little difficult to make suggestions on exactly where to plan your bachelorette beach weekend since I have readers from all over. However, for those of you the South, here is a list of accessible destinations in no particular order;

1. Destin, FL.   2. Charleston, SC    3.Gulf Shores, AL.  4. Miami, FL   5. Daytona Beach, FL.

A lot of ladies I know have been choosing to forego sending out paper invites and to just send an e-vite to get the ball rolling. As easy as e-mail is I love receiving  good invite in the mail (especially for a bachelorette weekend.) Here are a couple of fun, different samples I have recently come across;

As far  as favors go it is always nice treat your friends with a little “thank you for coming” gift. By no means does it have to be anything expensive, however it is always a nice gesture to show your guests that you are appreciative of them being there to celebrate with you. Here are a couple of cute, affordable ideas that can be easily duplicated and used as gifts.

You can find adorable towels for as cheap as $4 at any local Wal-Mart, Target, etc. Usually monogramming is fairly inexpensive depending on where you go, but if the idea of full named doesn’t appease, you can always do a single letter.

Personalized cups are such a great, easy DIY gift especially for a beach weekend. However, if you do not have the time to craft you can always easily order them online. (photo above courtesy of ETSY)

I love, love, love koozies for a bachelorette party gift and they are so appropriate for a beach weekend. Not only are the extremely cheap to order and personalize, but they also last and can be used 100 times. Such a perfect keepsake for a weekend you and your girls will not surely soon forget.

Return from hiatus…

Fresh, exciting ideas for everything from bachelorette parties to showers to being a perfect hostess will be arriving shortly. Stay tuned…

and of course…

It’s All in the Details

A Bachelorette party is a very special, and one of the most remembered times on a bride’s journey to her special day. Although many lucky brides are blessed with friends and family who end up throwing numerous showers, brunches, and teas- there is nothing like the final fling before the ring with your closest, and best girls. With all the planning involved, making sure this special night is arranged to a tee is a feat in itself- nothing says “I support you” more than going the extra mile to make that coveted night as special and unique as possible. Here are some great inspirations and ideas to give any bachelorette that special added touch.

Decor may not be the most important detail of a bachelorette party, however if you are planning something like a girl’s night in, dinner party, cocktail party etc.. having beautiful decor will make the evening even more special an out of the norm. Pick girly colors, or colors that work with the theme and start from there. From the linens to the cocktail straws, these little touches will not go unnoticed. Pomanders are very cute and easy to make. Not to mention easy on the wallet. Basically all you need it tissue paper, wire and ribbon. Here is a great DIY tutorial courtesy of Martha Stewart.

Speciality cocktails and desserts are easy and delicious. If you have the baking or mixology gene this should be an easy added touch for those of you who are talented in the kitchen or behind the bar. Try something like a champagne cocktail to satisfy everyone’s palate.

Integrate a theme. It does not have to be over the top, but makes for an even more unique, unforgettable evening. Animal print, black and pink, or even an 80’s theme are easy to execute.

Decorate the car. Yes, it is corny and cliché however you only get one chance to do this for your friend. These decals are inexpensive and can be found at any Party City.

Cute accessories like these DIY buttons are super easy to make and turn into great keepsakes.

Make beautiful itineraries for all the party guests. These will keep everyone on the same page and are especially useful for those coming in from out of town.

You’re Invited

These days it is so easy to inform your friends about any event under the sun by sending an invitation electronically, but let’s be honest; who doesn’t LOVE getting a fabulous invitation in the mail? Wedding season brings mailboxes full of invitations for the big day, shower invites, and save-the-dates. Not that sending bachelorette party invitations will ever go out of style,  but recently more than ever I have noticed an increase in cute, creative, fun invitations. A great invite is the first step in setting the tone for a great girl’s weekend so why not make it unforgettable starting with the invitations? With all the wonder design programs it is as easy as pie to create your own and save a little money. However, if you want to go over the top you can always get a little fancy with it and have them printed, or buy your own special stationary and print them yourselves. The possibilities are endless. Here are some of my favorite samples I have recently seen.

Pink & Gold makes for a stunning, girly invite.

Aqua invites set the tone for a fun, wild bachelorette.

Classy and Playful.

I love this toned down, sweet invitation. Invites are  a great way to show the style of the upcoming shindig.

These are so great for a combination bachelorette/lingerie night.

Slim invitations with a vintage feel.

Stunning bridal shower invite which would work for a bachelorette as well. Love this color combo!

I’m in Monogrammed Heaven

If you are a Southern lady then you know you have at least a dozen monogrammed items in your house. Not only is monogramming increasingly more popular, but it makes for fantastic, personalized gifts. Veeshee offers wonderful gift ideas from  totes to tailgating tubs, down to towels and umbrellas. They also give you the option to add personalization from only $5 with many of their items. These would make for great bachelorette gifts or even fun gifts for brides like their ultra cute city apron and oven mitt. Everything is very reasonably priced, but gives you the option to be creative, and to personalize without breaking the bank. Charming and fun are two key words I can easily use to describe their site and products. Check them out at Veeshee.com, on Facebook, or on Pinterest for other wonderful gift giving ideas and suggestions.
